this is the year of chasing our dreams.

happy new year!! after going home for a few weeks & starting this new semester, i am hyped for a this year. it's gonna be a good one!! i've been reflecting about what's to come and Y'ALL I AM SO EXCITED!

coming back to college has felt more real (last semester felt like a dream) & it's been sinking in that this year is truly a year full of things i've been dreaming about for years: byu, starting my etsy shop, being an fsy counselor this summer, and going on my mission in the fall! i've taught a few yoga classes for girls on my dorm floor & i want to do more (a more recent dream of mine: to open my own studio in the future!) obviously i can't chase all my dreams in one year but wow, this year is checking off a lot of boxes, and i feel super grateful about it!! but more importantly i want this year to be a year where i work & live like my dreams are coming true: a mindset and energy:)

the first step to living this year as a year of chasing your dreams is figuring out what your dreams are. this might sound weird but think about it--what are your dreams? your dreams, not the dreams of someone else? dreams are not supposed to be planned out, that's not the point, but sometimes i think it's good to take some time to really ponder what your dreams are. best case scenario, what do you dream for? what's the best case scenario? what excites you (and maybe scares you too)?

and then, like jeffrey r. holland said, "you just gotta believe."

i'll be back soon with some of my semester goals, but in the meantime, i hope you can get excited about some of your dreams, whether they be soon or far in the future. remember, you are someone's dream friend, love, parent & grandparent! there are so many good things to come!!

maybe what i'm trying to say is that i want to wake up each morning excited to chase my dreams, to serve others, and to praise the Lord! God is good, and He wants our dreams to come true. i really believe that He's given us our dreams for a reason!
