ten ways to improve your confidence.

delete social media: for a day, a week, a month, forever… (or at least unfollow people)
stop taking selfies/make them less serious
get 100% ready in the morning: good outift, hair, etc. & then don’t worry about it again
don’t text people if you can help it (texting triggers cortisol bc it is an unfinished convo without facial and verbal cues!!)
separate your emotions from reality: do you feel frustrated because you didn’t do as well as you hoped, or do you feel frustrated because you are a failure? learn how to accurately describe emotions!! esp unpleasant ones!! being emotionally intelligent is key. was your performance or your effort lacking? how can you improve your effort without basing your worth on the results?
compliment people!! don’t talk down about people. even if they deserve it.
serve others around you. getting outside of yourself is the key to getting out of your head! be a friend to those who are alone. if you want to feel seen, see those who often feel invisible
THE WAY YOU TALK TO YOURSELF MATTERS: stop saying stupid and say silly instead: we’re all silly, but we’re not stupid, no one is stupid or dumb bc that implies they are incapable. making mistakes ≠ incapable. hype yourself up. surround yourself with people who hype you up too. real friends build you up, not tear you down.
ACCEPT COMPLIMENTS WITH GRACE AND APPRECIATION
do hard and scary things. being brave builds courage and confidence. no one is born with confidence. everyone has to act confident before they are confident.
