junior: what i learned in eleventh grade.

i finished junior year! i am so excited about the summer, senior year, and everything, but i am also super grateful for this past year. junior year was beautiful, hard, happy, & the best year of high school yet! i am so content & appreciative of all this year taught me & i wanted to share that with you all. enjoy!

things junior year taught me:

• stop speaking english in spanish class :)

• turn off your phone after dinner

• going on a walk is always worth it

• make a list of red and green flags as soon as you feel something isn’t right with someone

• you will feel better soon

• friendship is two-sided and true friends will find you as much as you find them

• make your requirements for a boyfriend very high and stick to them (no excuses)

• your siblings can be your besties

• let yourself feel every single emotion

• pray for your parents

• there are going to be things you thought were going to be amazing that turn out mid or kinda bad, it’s okay

• a good math teacher changes everything

• wave to strangers

• if you have a change to help at an elementary school, do it asap

• emotional healing is everything

• the closer you are to God, the better life is

• things can be bad and good

• you are doing better than you think

• the more you try, the more fun it is (going all out makes it awesome)

• i love teaching swim lessons!!

• little kids are so pure & give you so much love & affection

• podcasting is the best

• all types of relationships are complicated & hard work & it’s okay to feel big feelings about the smallest things

• God shows His love through every good thing

• choose to wake up and see everything as a miracle

• use a promodoro timer and stop procrastinating on your schoolwork

• don’t have big expectations for prom

• listen to this is kingdom podcast on mondays

• thrifting is queen

• sometimes people leave

• have a spiritual notebook and write down notes & don’t forget to go through and read those beautiful notes and learn from them!

• i want to be a teacher

• God will never leave you all alone! He will send beautiful people in ways you don’t expect :)

• you’re gonna make it <3
